The Church Membership:
Every member has an important role to fill in the life of the church. Since the church governance is based on congregational polity, the church membership has the overall responsibility for the decisions of the church. The church body, however, has delegated the majority of the day to day leadership responsibilities to the church staff and the Diaconate.

The Diaconate Board consists of six ministry areas with at least one deacon chosen by the church body serving in each ministry area. The ministry areas are Worship, Evangelism, Education, Fellowship, Edification, and Facilities. The Diaconate meets together at least once a month. In addition, each ministry area has a team of other congregation members that meet and serve together as a ministry team.
